A visit to Quinta do Francês is a great idea for a day out, if you are looking for authentic and local things to do in the Algarve. Quinta do Francês is a family-run wine estate nestled at the foothills of Monchique. It is set in a charming traditional farmhouse in the middle of rural Algarve. To reach Quinta do Francês you will drive through beautiful valleys and oranges groves.
The wine production began in 2008 by winemaker Patrick Agostini, a French man with a passion for wine. This is also where the name, Quinta do Francês which means "French Estate" comes from.

Today they offer guided tours around the winery and wine tasting together with local cheese and cold cuts. We passed by without any reservation and spent a lovely afternoon discovering the grounds and its wine.
