Where to eat in the Algarve? I would say Lagos. Lagos has a great variety of restaurants and cafés offering many different types of food. It is probably one of my favorites towns in Algarve to head out for brunch, lunch or dinner.
Best grilled meat & fish in Lagos
Both Arribale and Casa do Prego will spoil you with excellent food, friendly service and great ambiance. The classics here are grilled meat and fish, its mouthwateringly good.
Best winebar in Lagos
A Petisqueira is a cute little winebar on one of the lively streets in Lagos old town. The menu is intriguing, to say the least. Every dish is well cooked with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors paired together in an interesting way. The prices are a little more than other restaurants, but it matches the quality.
Best casual, affordable food in Lagos
If you are looking for fun, casual and affordable places to eat, then The Green Room and Poké Lagos are my recommendations for you. The Green Room is a Mexican style restaurant and bar with big portions of tasty food and great cocktails. Poké Lagos is the best spot for fresh and healthy food, from Açai to Poké bowls. Both places are great for vegetarians and vegans.
Best Asian food in Lagos
My top recommendations for this category is Delhi Darbar, for authentic Indian food and Gorilla, for Thai and fusion food. These are great options when you want exotic flavors.
Best café in Lagos
Abigail's Cafe is an excellent spot for breakfast and brunch. Cozy decor, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. Here you will find all those delicious things that one expects from a modern breakfast.
