Looking to get out of the city for a few hours? Here’s a list of best day trips from Albufeira including a local winery, a hidden palace, a medieval town and much more. There are plenty of awesome things to discover just a short car ride away, so start exploring :)
Silves is a historical medieval town surrounded by citrus trees and vineyards. Here you can enjoy beautiful views, a hilltop castle, and a charming old town. It is one of the prettiest places in the Algarve and my favorite town to visit for a day out. Read more about Silves.
Porches have some of the nicest spots in the Algarve. The town is a heaven for pottery lovers, has one of the most picturesque chapels and its very own craft beer – how cool is that! Read more about Porches.
This riverside fishing village is perhaps the most photographed town in all of Algarve and it’s easy to understand why. A maze of cute cobbled alleys lined with whitewashed buildings and colorful houses. A visit here is a must if you are looking for an authentic and traditional Algarve. Read more about Ferragudo.
The Estoi Palace is a true hidden gem. This lavish palace is a treat for the eye with its colourful facade and majestic interior. It has been converted into a hotel and is open for the public to visit. Read more about the Estoi Palace.
Quinta dos Vales is a local wine estate situated in the western Algarve. A place that is so much more than just a winery. Here you will find a sculpture garden, fruit trees, beautiful flowers, and farm animals. It’s a fun experience full of surprises. Read more about Quinta do Vales.
